Lakita’s Bio
Lakita Humber, director and founder of Paneh Praise Dance Ministry; she has a servant's heart and is dedicated to doing the work of the Lord. Lakita was baptized at the age of 6 and filled with the Holy Ghost at the age of 12. She is a member of the O'Fallon Apostolic Assembly where she serves as the dance ministry president, currently overseeing JOYED UP (children's praise dance ministry), Revelation Teen Dance Ministry and the Spirit of Elijah Dancers.
Lakita is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. She also received an active duty officer's commission into the United States Air Force in 2002. Her military assignment transitioned her from hometown Buffalo, NY to O'Fallon, IL to work as a communications officer at Scott Air Force Base. In 2005, Lakita received permanent change of station (PCS) orders to Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. Following the direction of the Lord, Lakita took a leap of faith and separated 1-yr early from active duty. She immediately transitioned to a reserve officer and was eventually hired as a civilian defense contractor for the United States Air Force.
Lakita was first introduced to ministry of dance in January 2004. It didn't take her long to realize this is what she has been called to do. She is also a student at the Anointed Feet Dance Academy under the instruction of Ms. Patricia Burnett.
She thanks God for continuing to develop the her creativity and choeography. Lakita strives to set an example for single women by trusting and waiting on the Lord. Lakita gives honor to God for her mother, Jessie Jacobs, who taught her from an early age to "trust in the Lord and lean not to thine own understanding" and her pastor and first lady, Suffragan Bishop Gregory Wells Sr. & First Lady Joyce Wells for there wisdom, direction, and guidance. She is humbled and honored to be used by God to reach His people. It is her prayer to see souls saved for the Kingdom of God!
