Paneh Weekly Round-up: Fellowship & Family Edition
Every Thursday, I will post a link round-up of articles I’ve found while researching the Internet. While all may not be directly related to dance ministry or worship arts, I hope it will be of benefit to the dance ministers, mime ministers and worship artists that frequent this site.

I recently invited the girls from JOYED UP! Dance Ministry over for a sleepover. This generated a lot of buzz on Facebook and one friend requested an article on the importance of fellowship in ministry (full article soon to come). I’m also preparing for a trip to my home to visit my mom. I was recently at the 1-Day Entreleadership seminar sponsored by Dave Ramsey. He listed 7 areas that need attention to achieve balance. They are Spiritual, Financial, Career, Personal Development, Physical, Family. I’m looking forward to spending time with family and friends.
Your challenge…should you choose to accept it….is call or connect with a family member or friend that you haven’t talked to in a while.
Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
Exodus 20:12
10 Day Give Project: Christian Personal Finance authored by Bob is sponsoring the 10 Day Give Project and it starts TODAY! The concept is simple, commit to giving something to someone for the first 10 days of October. You can sign-up for free on his site, though technically you don’t have to sign up to participate….but why not join the community. Oh, and your gifts don’t have to be monetary. You can give your time, lend your talents etc. It is not a contest to see who can give the most, rather an attitude adjustment to take the focus off of ourselves and help someone else. Some ideas: take someone out to lunch, donate to the goodwill, give some well deserving parents the night off with free babysitting, pay someone’s utility bill etc.
Dance Ministry Myths Part 2 - What’s better that Dance Ministry Myths Part 1? Dance Ministry Myths part 2 of course! Minister Rekesha Pittman continues to expose fallacies circulating among worship artists such as praise dancing is an activity for youth, every church must have a dance ministry and more.
But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1 John 1:7

Dance Pulse: Time Urgent vs Sustained This article is intriguing. It starts off talking about the difference between a 30 & 40 minutes of instruction, which at first may seem fickle, but then delves deeply into the quality of time and even how dance is measured in time. "The mover’s attitude toward time is expressed naturally in movement."
How Do I Become a True Worshipper by Roxi Arthur lists practical, scriptural steps to becoming a true worshipper. She is also starting a 30 days of praise challenge….check it out!
